Drift was made by a small team of collaborators as an entry to the Cahootify (now TABB) 2020 Lockdown Filmmaking contest. After a public vote and selection by judges, it was crowned the winner.

Drift was shot at the height of the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, at a time of national lockdown in the UK. Filming was split between two units; a primary team in the Berkshire countryside was directed by Calum, and a second unit in Bristol was directed by Clément Jochem.

Not only winning the Cahootify.com competition for which it was made, Drift has enjoyed considerable success at film festivals, and has received a number of international accolades, including:

  • Best Super Short Film, Kosice International Film Festival 2020

  • Semi-Finalist, Sweden Film Awards 2020

  • Finalist, Prague International Film Festival 2020
